the coaching process

Coaching is for high-functioning, successful people who are seeking ways to continue to improve themselves. Some want a sounding board to test ideas in a safe and confidential way. Some need guidance and support as they transition into new roles or careers. Some face challenges that may hold back their careers and organizations. Others want to be more effective in their current roles, or collectively as part of a team.

Notice what’s missing from the definition of coaching above. There’s no mention of advice or corrective action. Why? Because coaching is about development, and as your professional coach, I recognize that YOU are the expert. 

My role as a coach is not to tell you how to achieve success, but rather to use deep listening skills and powerful questions to help you develop your own insights, identify the solutions to your own challenges, define and set your own goals, and determine the best way to take action to realize your goals and become your own best self.

You already have all the answers. I'm just here to help you find them, understand them and use them as you move forward toward your goals.

I’d be happy to work with Human Resources professionals in your organization to develop programs for individual, team, or group coaching. I also work directly with individuals who are looking to change or validate their career path or organization, as well as small business owners who need a sounding board to determine how to lead, move their business forward and get the best from their people.
